Do let me know if Mav wants to be a penpal BTW.
Am happy to send at least a postcard every fortnight.
You'd be surprised at how much I can get on there!

ETA - Mum says congratulations. And Dad started singing it (from Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday) so I guess he means it too.

Aliantha 03-22-2009 06:57 PM

That's so sweet of Mum and Dad. :) Tell them I'm very touched and there'll be pictures in the post for you soon.

I haven't had a chance to talk to Mav about the pen pal thing yet, but I suspect that you might end up with two of them in the end if Mav decides he'd like to do it. Aden will just feel like he's missing out on something. lol

You're a doll Cherry. Where would I be without you? xox

Juniper 03-23-2009 10:33 AM

Congratulations Ali. He's beautiful!

Ah shush, You'd be exactly where you are chick.
With two beautiful growing-up-boys, one beautiful babba and a beaut of a husband.

Do let me know.
Two postcards a fortnight are hardly crippling.

And yes, I envy you.

Aliantha 03-23-2009 06:58 PM

Actually Cherry, you personally are responsible for restoring my faith in people online. I was highly cynical and skeptical of people's sincerity prior to the friendship we've formed.

I say thankyou for that. :)

Here's a pic of Max with his newest fluffy toy sent to us by Merc and family. :)

Merc, the big boys want to know why there's pink bits on the bunny. lol

Max gained 500grams over the last week. That's a big weight gain. He is a guts though. Lucky he does a lot of flailing or he'd be fat as mud!

We all have pink bits. :D even rabbits.

Glad to see he made it over the ocean without a hitch.

Congrats again. :)

Aliantha 04-20-2009 05:28 PM

Thanks Merc. :) It's a lovely gift. Actually, it's so soft I'm the one that likes touching it more than Max atm. lol

Gee it'd be nice to be a baby again.

Shawnee123 04-21-2009 06:17 PM

Awwww, look at Max. He's adorable! :)

Aliantha 04-21-2009 06:18 PM

He wasn't so adorable when he spewed on me and him at 4.30 this morning.

capnhowdy 04-21-2009 08:51 PM

At least he spewed and didn't BLOW CHUNKS!

capnhowdy 04-22-2009 07:50 PM

More like an oozing thingie prolly.

Did I post that?
And they do it and act as if nothing at all had happend. Like.. "What?":vomit:

Aliantha 04-22-2009 09:17 PM

He did another smaller one this morning and I swear he actually looked sorry for it. He was looking up at me with his big blue eyes and his bottom lip was a bit quivery. I told him it was ok and that mummy still loves him anyway.

He was happy after that. :)

capnhowdy 04-23-2009 06:47 AM

...feels warm and fuzzy.......

Aliantha 04-27-2009 11:16 PM

We also have one of him doing the finger in his sleep. I'll post that when I get it off the proper camera.

Sundae 04-28-2009 05:19 AM

Um, Ali - did he learn that pose off daddy by any chance...?

DucksNuts 04-28-2009 05:53 AM

Too cute, Ali.

Aliantha 04-28-2009 07:39 AM

Thanks girls. :)

Which pose did you mean SG? The finger or kicking back relaxing? lol

classicman 04-28-2009 10:55 AM

Fine looking lad he is - You and Dazza must be so proud. Then again, you do realize that he is just resting up and conserving energy to wreak havoc later

Clodfobble 04-28-2009 01:02 PM

Looooove the mohawk.

Aliantha 04-28-2009 04:47 PM

We are very proud classic. :) He's a pretty good baby though. He's even into a 6 hour sleep pattern at night now, so that's brilliant! He usually goes from about 10.30 to 4.30 (and sometimes even 5.30) so sleep is becoming even more attainable than it was before. Unfortunately, my body seems to be realizing it's exhausted and is lapping up the sleep. When I fall asleep I'm dropping almost straight into deep sleep which is good on the one hand because it's rejuvenating, but on the other, when I get woken up, I really feel like shit for the first 15 or twenty minutes.

Dazza told me he was tired the other day, and I said to him, "you try not sleeping more than 3 hours at a stretch for about 6 months and see how you feel then". I was refering to the latter stages of the pregnancy and the first month or so after the birth. He doesn't get up to do night feeds or anything. I consider that my job since he has to go to work every day, which means he doesn't miss out on any sleep at all. Lucky bugger.

Clod, that's a naturally occuring phenomena. lol It is cute though.

We've always done things the same way. Sure, he changes diapers when he's here and whatnot, but really, I need him to stay employed more than I need my fair share of sleep, you know? If I were working too, then it would be different for sure, but here at home no one cares if I look like crap or can only manage to communicate in single syllables. But I'm in no way against giving dirty looks should he ever complain about being tired. :)

TheMercenary 04-28-2009 09:36 PM

make that three of us. althought thankfully we're way past the middle of the ngiht feeds now. mostly. It only arises now with midnight puking. In theory it's my job, but sometimes it takes two of us to deal. At the weekend, it's all his....inless it need two.

Why two? one to deal with the barfer, and one to change the bed.
