rk, I like your style.( of the present)

Ibram, You have a myspace page? I have a kid or two about your age. Guitar players.

Ibby 05-22-2006 11:16 AM

No, I completely refuse to get a myspace, but if they use AIM then they can feel free to IM me on 'steve 0 vai' or 'cadiancommander'

Ah, James Spader. I first saw him in Stargate, and had various nightmares about him for years. He's creepy as all getout.

mrnoodle 05-22-2006 03:32 PM

it's funny -- we played somewhere a few weeks ago, and some kid came up and was all "blahblahblah i like your band". I directed him to our myspace page, and got the most priceless look of scorn and teen disdain in return.

"I don't do myspace."

it was awesome. I kind of wanted to erase my account to show solidarity.

Undertoad 05-22-2006 03:39 PM

People! Spader is awesome. See "Sex Lies and Videotape" or "Bad Influence" or "Secretary". Dude is a genius.

rkzenrage 05-22-2006 03:40 PM

Myspace is so emo! :greenface

Spader has to be a freak in real life.
You can't fake that. Not like he does.
Man, those creepy eyeballs . . . wow.

Just watched Pretty In Pink the other day, was laughing at
Spader's superhuman asshole-ishness - genius! Love him.

skysidhe 05-22-2006 04:42 PM

@mrnoodle @ RK, I know. Myspace is emo. I like looking for bands, once in awhile. You guys emo? :)

I wouldn't say someone HAS to be freaky in real life without having actually met them Flint. BUT I barley notice spader. I even like that movie Pretty in Pink but can't place him.

Cillian Spader the guy who played villians in Batman Begins and Red Eye is really scary to me. He might be a nice person in real life. * shrug*

[edit] sorry flint. I don't want to be your mom. You are nothing like what I remember you. Who are you anyway? Remember you once told a story about how the kids in class started calling you flint ? How did that go?

Happy Monkey 05-22-2006 04:55 PM

Cillian Murphy is the creepy guy from Batman Begins. And 28 Days Later.

Yes, definitely! James Spader and Jeff Goldblume were my ideal men during the '80s. Why watch the Brat Pack trying to look like they were angst-ridden every-kids when you can have the ones who were already totally over the edge and had the talent to exploit it

Ibby 05-23-2006 12:34 AM

The "quote:" and the box below it is the link.

Yes, You have a style. In fact I am not attracted to model photos at all. ;)[edit- That means I think you are much more attractive than your model picks which would have sounded better in person matched with the meaningful look I would have given you.]

BigV 05-23-2006 09:52 AM

Anti-catchlights. Droplights?

xoxoxoBruce 05-23-2006 09:07 PM

I realize Myspace is the new AOL/Microsoft, as in it's cool to poop on. But, there is still some cool shit there.....it's just a lot harder to find. :(

Yeah I've found some great unsigned bands in there.. kinda like digging through the sewer to find diamond rings people drop down the drain.

Nice wallpaper.

Edit: Shower curtain! I meant shower curtain! I can clearly see the rings in the first picture, I'm not blind I swear...

BigV 05-24-2006 05:26 PM

Shower curtain. Cut hair falls in tub to facillitate cleanup.

Edit: I knew you knew that! I knew it! I would never poke fun at a pregnant lady, I swear...

xoxoxoBruce 05-24-2006 08:40 PM

If she's pregnant she's already had her fun poked.;)

footfootfoot 05-24-2006 09:16 PM

Nah, that's not what bigV looks like. Can't quite get used to that, you look just like my friend Nick.

BigV 05-24-2006 09:27 PM

:waves: Hi Nick!

Sun_Sparkz 05-25-2006 07:15 AM

BigV you look just like one of my ex'es. man was he an evil, nasty mother fooker.

cant you post one of you like with a daisy or a kitten or something??? soften it up man!!!

Sun_Sparkz 05-25-2006 07:16 AM

and what is that thing in front in pic 2? at first i thought it was the camera.. but no the camera is taking the shot.. duh,

is it a shaver or something?

glatt 05-25-2006 08:14 AM

My guess is it's the camera. He's taking a picture of himself in the bathroom mirror.

Nice to see you BigV. I don't know what I thought you looked like, but it wasn't that. Now I need to adjust my mental image of you.

Yep. That's me alright.

...evil nasty mother f**cker... You'd be surprised--I get that a lot. I did try smiling though. Guess it didn't have the desired effect. 's alright. I don't have to look at that mug, y'all do, and you have my pity.

BigV 05-25-2006 02:51 PM

Yes, it's the camera in the bottom of the shot. I took about 8 pictures to get the effect. I wasn't able to duplicate the placement of the bankshot exactly, so the camera wound up in the frame (which I could not see since I'm looking in the lens) on the second shot. It was hard enough to get all that damned hair in the picture in the first place.

dar512 05-25-2006 03:56 PM

So V, why did you cut your hair in the first place? Can't be hot in Seattle, yet.

BigV 05-25-2006 05:13 PM

Yes, hot. It was like 79 freakin degrees last week! I almost sweated. I like the short hair much better. Less maintenance, less heat retention, less wind resistance, less to grab (less important now that the youngest doesn't ride on my shoulders much anymore). I delayed the haircut longer than I wanted too because I lost the clippers. So I bought a new set and bzzzzzzt. Instant cool.

I actually cut it *long* since the people in the office have never seen me with hair this short. I won't let it get so long next time and I'll cut it shorter, maybe a number two guard (3/8"). Cutting it ALL off has its appeal too, but it's not the low maintenance haircut it appears to be. A couple of days later and I can't put on a t shirt without having it velcroed to my head on the way over. Anyway, there's more where that came from and the gray ones are a lot harder to see.

So that's how you keep those Brown Shirts in line. :eyebrow:

BigV 05-25-2006 06:37 PM

You would laugh to learn the nickname the brown shirts call me behind my back. I know I did.

xoxoxoBruce 05-25-2006 10:08 PM

Don't be a dick....you've got to tell us now.:comfort:

seakdivers 05-27-2006 12:03 AM

Ooooh BigV - I like the before and the after!
Now if only xoB would put his *real* pic on here.....

Gawd - when it comes to before and after pics, I just found a really old photo album that has a picture of me from when I was probably 23. Ouch.
I wanted to show my husband and say "see!!! I used to look like this!!", then I realized that what I would be telling him was "see!! I don't look like this anymore!!".
I put it back where I found it.

lumberjim 05-27-2006 02:05 AM

no...lazy. i have no idea where that yearbook is.....besides, i wouldnt do that to a friend....or an enemy even. posting pics of someone else w/out permission is ghey.
