Some foods are not enhanced by such associations.

Stand By Me and blueberry pie, for example.

Twin Peaks and Cherry Pie, on the other hand...

or the Simpsons and Floor Pie.

I am quite ashamed that I did not mention that one. It was one of my favorite shows.

ooh ...

Bibi-Babka!! I hadn't thought about one in ages.

And then, of course, there is one show that was about nothing, but, apparently, food ...

Chocolate Babka
Mulligatawny
Poppy Seed Muffin
Junior Mints
The Big Salad

Grape Nehi: Actual beverage in the South. I run into it upon occasion. As noted, Radar's beverage of choice.

Coors: Smokey and the Bandit.

I think I'll expound on proper Philly cheesesteaks in a separate thread...

"Heineken? Fuck that shit! Pabst Blue Ribbon!"

A turn to the sci-fi side:

It's a strange thing, but every sentient race has its own version of these Swedish meatballs. I suspect it's one of those great universal mysteries which will either never get explained or which will drive you mad if you ever learned the truth.

Spoo is/are (the plural of spoo is spoo) small, white, pasty, mealy critters, rather worm-like, and generally regarded as the ugliest animals in the known galaxy by just about every sentient species capable of starflight, with the possible exception of the pak'ma'ra, who would simply recommend a more rigorous program of exercise.

Good luck with that, grasshopper. I've tried to get the Phluffian's to see reason on the cheesesteak thing, but they resist. The are very territorial about it.

Matt is one of us, even if he's now living in Arkansas.

Damn tootin'. I was back in Fluffya a couple of weekends back for Anthrocon and one of the first things I did was score a decent cheesesteak from one of the Drexel gut trucks (they DO have good cheesesteaks there...)

In fact, my LJ has an extensive trip report:
