Garnet is *not* one of the people mentioned in the article...she's merely a PETA employee.

I've given her my share of jabbing, but all in all, I've always thought she was rather sweet natured. I always try to admire and respect people who stand by their convictions, whether I agree with them or not...as long as they aren't trying to kill me or something.

Thanks for the clarifiation. The PETA folks are quite nice when compared to the Animal Liberation Front people.

She works for PETA. She's a bit goofy, but I don't think she's involved at all.

I don't have a huge problem with PETA, nor do I resent Garnet for her feelings about PETA or involvement with it. I can't know the whole story there. And I know people have reasons for their convictions.

I have had issues with Garnet in the past and am not completely distraught at her reluctance to come back here, however. It isn't the beliefs she holds, it is her way of interacting and treating people. It seems that she meets disagreement with a combative and immature attitude that I find distasteful.

This one time, Garnet saw me hit a squirrel in my car, and she rammed me from behind until I pulled over.

Then she stabbed me in the lung.

It's true.

ok, i'll apologize for starting the thread if it really has garnet broken up. she is smart enough to know that every organization, no matter their goals, has some bad apples. that doesn't mean everyone who is associated with PETA is whacking puppies with hammers and throwing them in dumpsters.

garnet is also smart enough to know that i rarely pass up an opportunity to give someone shit. :)

They can't afford a good lawyer like OJ and MJ. ;)

Horse pucky! The thread is lejit, no subject is off limits when it's been in the media.
I feel sorry for Garnet but that doesn't let PETA or the perps off the hook.... we have the smoking gun. :eyebrow:

I DO miss the endless namecalling rituals provided by garnet and brown thrasher....

i didn't want to start a new thread, and i figure that PETA will be involved inthese protests so i just stuck this here.

HOW FREAKING COOL?!?! suspended animation for dogs - medical miracle or Pet Sematary horror?

FOX STORY

chilling link....... I can see how maybe this could aid in human healthcare.
I wonder (and prob always will) if the dogs , after coming back, are "all there"......
Could wind up a "Flatliners" thing. Sometimes science scares me. I'll stick to art.

Once they figure out where the soul is, this process will likely become a lot more reliable.
