Stacey,

How did you attach the pictures I'm having trouble with that.

Ok we guys all have clothes we feel comfortable in, also we tend to buy individual items and not outfits. This is suppported by your guy picking out certain peices. For gardening or working on the car OK. Unless he's into a new grunge thing I no nothing about. hey, you're not in Seattle are you?

Maybe go window shopping at a outdoor/sporting store and see if you can find a displayed "essemble" with khaki shorts, T shirt, sweater etc and buy the whole lot.

Also before complaining about hubby remember you chose him............

Lah, lah, lah

one of the jobs i had was in a factory. i found an old janitor's jacket in my closet there. the name on it said "javier" i wore that jacket for two years. it just fit right, what can i say?

I liked that last jacket...I think he could make it work with the right hat or something. don't let him wear jeans with it, though.

I think I am the only female here with worse fashion sense than my mate. That says little for him, as his favorite shirt has had the sleeves cut off. I guess I am proud of my bad fashion sense, like Devo might be of their lesser known songs in the 80s.

Damn! and I thought Arsen was going to turn out to be a cross-dresser! :mg:

Did you remember that the majority of men are color blind to some extent if not totally? It's true, check the statistics. Your husband might not be able to see those clothes any better than a Golden Retriever could. My dad used to hold up the shirt and tie and jacket every morning so that momma could tell him if they matched. Your husband may honestly not realize what he would really look like, especially to WOMEN, who rarely have the same problem with colors. But as far as the style of the clothing, I would suggest that you just let him wear what he wants. Make a deal with him that YOU choose his outfit if you will be out socially together and just let him go the rest of the time. In the long run, by not nagging him you will earn points which you can call in when YOU want to buy something he does not care for ;)

Ugh. I feel for you, girl, but was going to post what wolf already has. My girlfriend Kelle is coming home this month, but her man, Hrvoje, who is Croatian, would LOVE that stuff. She would burn it. I think it's a cultural thing. The members only jackets? Oh man.....

those jackets you guys liked- what is that, some kind of retro fashion?
Seen stuff like that go for hundreds of pounds here, yes.

Catwoman 04-18-2005 08:17 AM

Yeah, I like them. Well, I use 'like' as in, 'I like them more than squid'. Only because they're unconventional though. Nice to see a young man dressed differently to the masses, would make me want to talk to him.

OnyxCougar 04-18-2005 09:36 AM

Would make me think he's single, because no woman with taste would be seen with him wearing that crap.

mrnoodle 04-18-2005 09:46 AM

Stacey. Dude.

those clothes rock. the ones in the first shot are kind of eastern bloc, but the rest are cool. You have to have a certain level of...something. Rock? .... to be able to pull off that stuff, but it can definitely be done.

To pull off a lemon yellow or powder blue Members Only jacket??? Yeah, you'd need rocks...

I still don't think he could pull it off...thanks so much (again)for the laugh!

I love those jackets too. When I saw them, I thought, wow, that's not little old man wear, those are pretty hip.

staceyv 04-18-2005 11:08 AM

hey, you want to buy them then? I'll sell 'em cheap:)

OnyxCougar 04-18-2005 11:25 AM

Try ebay. chaching!!!

staceyv 04-18-2005 11:35 AM

I thought about ebay, but I've been reading a book on how to sell on ebay, and it says that used clothing is considered a "questionable" item to sell, but not completely banned. Maybe if I call it "vintage clothing" it'll be okay to sell?
But I'd have to pay $5 a month to accept payments to my pay pal account and who knows if I would make that on this ugly stuff!

PLUS, I got into a car accident this morning turning out of the post office, and now I never want to go to the post office again. It's a really tough left hand turn coming out of there, I didn't even see this guy at all, and I just heard a big crash. My car's all fucked up, my stomach's a mess, and now I have to dish out money to repair this guy's car. ALL because I'm selling these books on Amazon and I'm always at the damn post office.
(yeah, I know, you can arrange to have it picked up or print out labels...I have to look into that later.) Right now I'm trying to take my mind off of these chest pains I'm having and I can't stop burping. My digestive system is shot.
