I think that was originally the music from the first Star Trek film.

Released in the US as The Professional. It was a great movie, the usual French preoccupation with underage eroticism notwithstanding.

Jean Reno is great. I saw him in Nikita first, but apparently he was in lots of stuff before that. His most recent films have sucked, though. Rollerball? Come on, Jean. You can do better.

Wasabi was stupid too.

Oh yeah. the Oscars. Who won? Nevermind. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Could be. I saw the first film once. Once. It was so slow and boring. I remember the scene where the new ship comes out of dry dock. It took like 15 minutes for it to slowly pull out. It may have been "realistic" that way, but it sure was painful. Plot: There's something wierd out there. What is it? Oh it's just that old space probe, Voyager. The End.

To a Trek-Starved fan who loved the Original Series, that whole awful movie was an amazing moment. Friends of mine (who drove) took me to the theater. I realized they were there because they knew I wanted to see it when one of them leaned over and said "Why did everyone in the theater cheer when the guy with the ears walked onto the ship?" She was serious.

I perked right up when I heard the theme and was complaining out loud "Why are they playing the Star Trek theme? They aren't doing anything about Star Trek! This doesn't make any sense!! Oh. They're just going to commercial. All righty then."
