It seems here in Ohio it is the GOP. They've already challenged voters who voted early. I was listening to NPR and they had actual recordings of hearings---some people were challenged by GOP lawyers as ineligible or "suspicious" simply because mail that was supposed to go to their listed residence came back as "undeliverable". We have been advised to take ID with us to the polls and if approached the only things the challengers were allowed to ask were 1) our address, and 2)to see our ID.

Whatever rights a challenger may or may not have are in no way affected by you telling them to piss off. Therefore I suggest you do so.

A challenger can request that your ballot be set aside until your qualifications can be judged. I don't think they can prevent you from filling out the ballot at all, and you would probably be judged qualified in the end. But the real goal of vote challengers is to slow down the system, in the hopes that people won't wait four hours in line, as is happening in Florida.

And apparently it was registered mail from the Republican Party. At least one woman said she refused to accept it, in hopes of costing the GOP a few cents, and suddenly her registration was challenged.

I would challenge their right to question you. If they can't produce valid credentials, shoot 'em. :blunt:
btw- You can vote until you're convicted.

Rho has to go to our old polling place to vote because she changed her address too late. She's bringing her ID, something with our new address and her cell phone will be on with (866) MYVOTE1 on speed dial.

Me? I get to vote downstairs in the lobby. :)

I don't think I've seen anyone else comment on it, but lately Bush reminds me a lot of Alfred E. Neuman from Mad Magazine.
