good luck slang. mesa is definitely the place to be. long beach blows for its cost of living. stlouis is alright but not real exciting - ask syc - he moved to philly for some reason. phoenix rocks. you just have to be dedicated to make it for a full 12 months and then you will be fine.

If only they had said "M1 Abrams tank experience a plus", I would have. Unfortunately this is not within my reach.

Why is that? If I can tolerate most of the other hell holes I've been assigned to, AZ should be fun, fun, fun.

Gotta bring my own water though, right?

"A plus" means not required. Have Saddam, Kofi, God, Thread Hijack, et al, start an email campaign singing your praises. :D

I moved to Philadelphia from Washington, DC because of a job transfer opportunity.

I moved to DC from St. Louis b/c St. Louis was getting old and the job market sucked...found a job in DC within 2 days of looking for one. Plus, Rho lived in Baltimore, and the environment for an interracial couple in St. Louis at the time (1999) wasn't all that great.

Wheels up.

I've become very popular inside a span of two days. Details and pics when I get settled in.

Thanks to everyone that helped through the tough times. You know who you are.

Hello all you mechanical types,

This is my chance to talk about UGNX and how over rated it is.

This current contract uses NX and after hearing loads of BS about how much more complicated it is, this is my official comment on that thought.

"Moving about half of the menu options to some other previously unrelated function and renaming commands to something less descriptive than the previous revision.....does NOT make the program better in itself, it makes it more frustrating to use!"

On the upside, in all fairness, the blending capability of parametric models has improved to the point that I often cheer outloud.

It's still the same ol' engineering and design tool you always loved or hated, it's just that now because experienced users cant adjust to the learning curve of the new menu names, locations, and sequence of specific object selections that the rates have increased overall.

Everyone cross your fingers for a piece of the joint strike fighter action. It should be good paying and long term.
