I just said "yes" 'cause I hate chicken. Tastes like styrofoam, no matter what you do to it. I'd rather eat tofu. :vomit:

Funny...usually people say the opposite. Never had tofu myself, so I wouldn't know.

About 5 posts in to this thread, I realized that I really should have been in Food and Drink - oops

It was a chicken cheesesteak. And it had provolone.

Is the difference that a hoagie is cold and contains lettuce?

elSicomoro 06-10-2004 09:01 PM

More or less...throw in tomato on a hoagie.

Every pizza place I know offers "cheesesteak hoagies," which are cheesesteaks with lettuce and tomato. Up in central PA where my wife is from, they call that "in the garden." They do a lot of silly things up there.

Well duh!

Here's the thread I was talking about on PhillyBlog.

A mom and pop joint will probably always have the best sandwich in the world (my personal fave is at a deli in St. Louis), but there ain't nothing wrong with a Quizno's sub...or Subway...or any chain restaurant.

As far as mayo and ketchup, it depends on the place. If I go to a place like Philip's or Steve's, I don't need either...just some hot sauce.

(That Quizno's hot sauce is mighty damned good!)

You poor, poor thing.

But you had the joy of those Brugger's cookies, right hon?

You mean this:

If so, don't think I've had the pleasure. :(

No, not those guys, although they were pretty decent chain bagels.

I'm probably screwing up the name of the cookie ... but they are damn good. It's like a sugar cookie with chocolate ...

And they were found in Baltimore? Damn, I sure would have remembered those! :D

I do remember that there is a company that supplied stores with yummy blondies...don't see much of them here in Philly (unless I'm not looking in the right spot).
