It's still copying and pasting the wrong thing in there. Hold the Windows key, type R, when the run dialog pops up, type "charmap" sans quotes and hit enter. Select your characters, double click them in order to get them in the box up top, then hit Copy. Paste that in your user title box.

OnyxCougar 10-08-2003 11:47 AM

Nope.

Undertoad 10-08-2003 11:52 AM

OK dar, what'd ya do...

dave 10-08-2003 11:53 AM

Well, what can I say? Cyrillic sucks.

dave 10-08-2003 11:54 AM

Dude, it's not hard. I had German in there, with an umlaut-a (as in, Ich bin enttäuscht) and it was no problem. So fucked up cyrillic isn't supported in the web browsers. Oh well.

OnyxCougar 10-08-2003 11:55 AM

Cyrillic *IS* supported in web browsers, Dave.

lynx is throwing fits over that.

Well then, what can I say? Shitty cyrillic isn't supported in vBulletin user titles.

OnyxCougar 10-08-2003 11:59 AM

:( Why is it shitty? Because it's not English? Or because vBulletin can't read it in the titles/signature?

Undertoad 10-08-2003 12:13 PM

Whoa, I think international character support is an add-on for most browsers. That has nothing to do with getting it into the user title...

dave 10-08-2003 12:38 PM

Because it pushes your buttons?

OnyxCougar 10-08-2003 12:39 PM

:p

elSicomoro 10-08-2003 09:08 PM

That'll teach you to try and be different, now won't it?

OnyxCougar 10-09-2003 07:52 AM

**drops her head and nods**

Yes, Mr. Sycamore, Sir.

Tobiasly 10-09-2003 07:57 AM

As far as I know, all those Latin-ish "special" characters in Spanish and German are in the ANSI character set. That's how they got by for so long before Unicode came out.
