MSNBC and VH1 refuse to function properly unless you use IE...at least for me.

I only use IE at home for sites like that...and the games on the iWon toolbar. (Spy Hunter and Joust rule!)

MSNBC functions fine for me with Mozilla. I think you're just a retard.

Tobiasly 09-19-2003 07:51 AM

My platoon sergeant always said I'm gonna have retarded kids, because I use the word retarded to describe people.

Of course, he's a retard.

I'm taking a class on MR right now... I didn't notice a section labeled "Cosmic Justice" under causes of mental retardation but my textbook hasn't been updated since 1997.

Mozilla is my fire breathing friend. TABS!

This sounds like the military version of our mother's admonitions against making silly faces...

"If you don't quit that, your face is going to freeze that way forever!"

OK, so I'm still way behind on this stuff...is Mozilla like crazy browser? I use that at work, because I always have so many damn windows open, but I still use IE at home.

I also write my pages in HTML, and since I'm self taught, I learned the IE code. Sometimes my stuff doesn't work in Netscape. Which version of HTML does Mozilla support, in other words, since I code for IE, would Mozilla recognize that or does it use the Netscape version?

OnyxCougar 09-19-2003 02:18 PM

OH, EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW it's like Netscape! Ugh...quick..let me uninstall this... Ugh...

......................

OK, that's better. Ugh. For those of you that like tabs but prefer IE, go to www.crazybrowser.com .

I have to go shower to get the netscapishness off me....

Undertoad 09-19-2003 02:21 PM

Mozilla will probably resolve your pages more like IE than Netscape, except Netscape 6+, which were roughly based on Mozilla. Mozilla/NS6+ are based on web standards and follow them more closely than IE.

Crazy Browser is IE's guts with a new layer on top and tabs are one of their additions.

OnyxCougar 09-19-2003 02:35 PM

I'm sorry, UT (and Dave), but I can't get over it's Netscapishness. I've been traumatized by NS since version 4.76 and up....I keep trying it and it screwed me every time. I'm done trying with it. And wont use anything that even look similar.

Undertoad 09-19-2003 02:40 PM

That's OK, just use the Modern theme instead of the Classic.
(View -> Apply Theme -> Modern, or you can Get New Themes and make it look completely and totally different.)

OnyxCougar 09-19-2003 02:46 PM

ok.... just because I trust you, UT, I'll try it....

Undertoad 09-19-2003 02:50 PM

Don't just take my word for it, read this

http://mozilla.org/products/firebird/why/

That page is talking about Firebird, which is the Mozilla Browser (basically) and is on a pre-release version. Mozilla 1.4 is the latest Mozilla and everything on that page also applies to Mozilla.

Undertoad 09-19-2003 02:52 PM

I should say that most people could just get Firebird if they want to try it out and get some of these nifty features. Even though it's release 0.61, it's pretty good.
