I used to ride past Gratz every day when I worked at Pep Boys. Some of the kids rode the bus I took...typical high-schoolers: Some were obnoxious; others well-behaved.

Bitman, what exactly do you mean? I believe what you are trying to say is, "What's up with those fat gals wearing next to nothing?" If this is the case, kindly confirm, and Rho and I will be more than happy to explain it.

Bitman 06-19-2003 12:14 PM

I understand the clothes in general ('tis America, after all.) And I'm reluctant to call these kids "fat". They actually look relatively healthy, but they look a little too healthy for being 17 years old. Admittedly, my eyes are highly "uncalibrated", so I don't know if I'm out of sync with teen physiology in general, or just black physiology.

Not that I mind "calibrating" against scantily clad teens. :D :3eye:

Tobiasly 06-19-2003 12:29 PM

What he's trying to say is, "I never knew 17-year olds had such huge tits. What gives?"

dave 06-19-2003 12:53 PM

Yeah. That second one there, in the black... Jesus Christ on a crutch. I'd nail the holy hell out of her.

xoxoxoBruce 06-19-2003 05:25 PM

Well how about this Prom dress.

Undertoad 06-19-2003 06:58 PM

Oh man, that's too much. Everything up to now is like, pimpy or tasteless, but harmless, but this seems somehow just too wrong.

elSicomoro 06-19-2003 08:46 PM

Ah, okay Bitman. Well, as far as the girls being "too healthy," I'd say that is due to our nation growing fatter with every potato chip and pizza eaten. We're becoming a bunch of cows. And that's not really limited to one group of folks per se. Shit, they look healthier than the gals I went to high school with...and that's only been 9 years.

I thought you were referring to something else, though I didn't think you were being offensive.

juju 06-19-2003 09:32 PM

What does it mean for someone to look too healthy?

elSicomoro 06-19-2003 09:43 PM

It's a nice term for "being a bit fat."

Tobiasly 06-19-2003 10:39 PM

I think you're still mistaking what he was trying to say, due to his vague choice of words. He was referring only to breasts in the "plump" comment. "Not even the fat girls were that plump", meaning "not even the fat girls had such huge tits."

As to whether that's a black thing, I would daresay conventional wisdom holds that black girls, on average, have bigger breasts that white girls, weight notwithstanding. I wonder if there's ever been any research done on this?

Of course, they could be fake too. Probably not an unheard-of thing in girls that age these days.

The dress alone is frightening enough, but that hair has JUST got to go.

(It just now occurred to me, although certainly it should have earlier, that prom maternity wear is a largely untapped market. Must be for a young (and I use the term loosely) lady to wear such a thing as this. Wonder if she gave birth before or after the fruit cup was served?)

True, but not a lot of Af/American gals are getting that surgery (at least, not at that age). Personally, I find it pitful if they even do it at all, but that's for another topic for another day...;)

Those dresses however....sad. The first one *could* have been nice if it were a whole dress and the slit wasn't so high. The other dresses....*twists lips* Hmph. Call me old fashioned. And that maternity dress...*BARF!!!* Now who the HELL wants to see THAT shit!?!?!?!

Oooo, I wish that I could find the pictures that I shot for an ex-coworker's brother for his prom. He had on the best tux I'd ever seen, and his g/f's dress was to DIE for! It was all about class and style.

BTW, "Nigger in a can"? *cringe*

I wouldn't be surprised if I got it wrong. :)

But still, it does seem that breasts have gotten bigger over the years, cosmetic surgery aside. Sorta like how people have grown taller. Probably a byproduct of better health and nutrition over the past 100 years.

Hmmm...that would be some interesting research. I've seen lots of black gals that are flat as a board. But the biggest natural breasts I've ever seen have probably been on a black woman.

And I've seen a lot of breasts. ;)

Eh, I would say no in this case. Most of them look home-grown. And as a whole, blacks don't seem to go for cosmetic surgery as much as whites. (Of course, the girls in these pics are 17 and 18 year olds, mostly from North Philadelphia, which is rather poor. They may go and get the fake-ass hair and ridiculously expensive clothing, but cosmetic surgery? Not likely.)

On the news recently, they said the average had gone from 34B to 36C in less than 50 years.
When I was in HS, they wore loose blouses with buttoned up Peter Pan collars. And lots of underwear. :(

I'm too tired to think but maybe hormone laced food and drink are having an impact. If you guys think this is bad you should see what passes for a middle-schooler these days.
