Pologirl just relocated from her apartment in Tallahassee to her boyfriend's parents' home right up at the end of the panhandle (before Tally goes into lockdown tonight -she lives alone and would be miserable) She just messaged me and I was going to share in one of the "what's amusing you" threads, but now this seems an appropriate place:

first she told me how beans are always made with ham which surprised her because her eyes tell her vegetable but her tastebuds disagree, and then said:

I'm immersed in other southern culture too

the gun safe is in the guest room lol

the low down I got on the guest room was "you can look in any drawers and use empty ones, just don't open the top one because it's full of ammo so it's heavy"

Heavy man, heavy. The place sounds top-drawer.

I don't have a problem with that house at all.

Pologirl is a Brit and was brought up that way. We don't do firearms and it's not a very popular thing in our little pocket right here either. Ten miles west, maybe, but not right here

I concur, even a small drawer full of ammo is very very heavy.
If you use cheap furniture steel toed shoes are a must. :yesnod:

OTOH, if ammo is stored loosely in drawers, there's a remote chance that the sudden impact from a fall could cause one round of ammo to hit the primer of another round and detonate it. So, if she drops her drawers, she might get a bang out of it! :lol2:

 I think the whole idea of her being in the guest room is to try and stop that happening. They're a tiny bit conservative too, I hear....
