Mr. Native American has said that that video is not quite what it appears to be.
|
It would appear Nathan Phillips is always more than ready to barge into confrontations to spread his message. In the story about the being attacked by EMU students he says he couldn't just walk by, he said he just couldn't do that. Yes you could, but you didn't want to miss a confrontation Nate.
I see a lot of rude, disrespectful, thoughtless, behavior being labeled as hate. You can’t say it's hate if they don’t give a rat’s ass about you, don't know/care if you exist. :headshake |
Link to what the kid in the video has to say:
Covington Catholic student from incident at the Indigenous Peoples March issues statement with his side of the story |
Yeah, but he's lying, so is Phillips, it's a tradition. It's not just the politicians why feel compelled to lie when getting to DC, it's the tourists too.:yesnod:

Maybe it would help to rename it District of Candor.
|
Boy didn't lie. Media lied. Videos from elsewhere prove it
|
Now the split can be witnessed, as both sides work hard to find their places in the sun:
Spectator: "What make a Liberal want to punch a child?" WaPo today: "The Catholic Church's Shameful History of Native American Abuses" Not linking anything, because, obviously, fuck them. This is the modern result of a simple, non-violent protest event. Pretty much a bunch of nothing happened, but anyone can find the narrative that winds them up, and eat it up for dinner. You can have whatever narrative you enjoy. Just watch only the POV that confirms it. The only thing unavailable in any media is the truth. |

Who do you get your permission from?

The Times report takes a broader view.

Apparently the principle of Covington Catholic will be doing investigations with possible expulsions. Is this what more easily happens now that a shutdown means no or a shortage of Federal oversight on National Monuments? "Build that Wall", they chanted. We need more prisons now that violent confrontations and insulting others is encourage by The Don. Mafioso types love violent solutions. As The Don says, it’s just business - complete with a public relations firm writing the testimony. Too many contradictory parties. Too many did not know who was who. Too many biased statement. Too little need to investigate since the powers that be are on shutdown. Only one conclusion is possible. Violence is encouraged and has increased because the president wants it and openly encourages it. Increasing hate (throughout history) makes such people more popular. This event simply demonstrates what has been encouraged. Where is David Duke and Joseph McCarthy when we need them. |
