I appreciate a woman that's thrifty, and wears jeans until they are tatters. Yum, tatters. :haha:

Everyone here wears jeans. I mean everyone in the country. There are very few who don't.

I can't imagine having whole seasons of similar weather like that. I tend not to have to wear winter woolies much during the summer - and I tend to have fewer opportunities for wandering around in a tshirt during the winter - other than that, all clothes are in play all year round.

I get the wicked cheap duck version of this at tractor supply, sometimes the Dickies version or the Carhart version.

yeah, my legs don't see long pants/trousers for at least three months of the year. It's really bizarre when you're forced to put them on for the first time in the fall/autumn

....and in the winter, we pack away a huge box of shorts between us. We still keep a couple pairs out for poolside/workouts etc but we have so many pairs, it frees up closet space to pack them away in one of the winter coats/snowpants boxes

... this evening was the first time I've been chilly in a t-shirt for probably 4 months

shorts vs blue jeans? two great tastes that taste great together.

the button fly, "seen in all the wrong places".

Heavy cotton canvas work pants with hammer loop and side pockets. The material is called duck. Carhart makes the highest quality.

I have several pairs of nylon hiking pants from REI, I love them. I'd wear them every day if I could. Super comfortable, easy to keep clean(ish), cool, lots of storage. My biggest complaint is that because the model I have comes with a captive nylon web belt, I can't easily attach my Leatherman holster to the belt and I have to carry it in a pocket. It's not very comfortable that way, the fabric's so supple and loose that the heavy tool swings around more than I'd like. But it's a minor quibble and the pants overall are easily my favorites.

I have a few pair of pants with the captive belt and I don't care for that feature at all.

footfootfoot 10-01-2015 11:20 AM

If I had a tool that swung when I walked I wouldn't quibble about it either...

BigV 10-01-2015 11:31 AM

again with the sex bruises...
