I finally got to look at Scientific American, I see it's a more 'scholarly' work a lot of two page articles with a single title picture.
Popoular Science is more 'pop' more graphics and short articles, alot of adverts too, guess that helps keep the price down :(.
Although I get the impression there is more science in Scientific American, it depends which one will get more read.
Probably going to go Pop Science.
