Cool. I've been looking for a place I can rent a gun for a coupla hours. How long do I have before I need to bring it back? Are there overdue charges?

For those who aren't familar, most ranges rent guns for use on their range only. They take a very dim view of you leaving still holding the gun, which is why they will hold your driver's licence while you shoot.

Slang, a cane would work. Something nice and sturdy. Not only will it assist me with walking if necessary, but then I can smack the shit out of people with it and play dumb. You can't really play dumb with a bullet, unless other people around you have guns too. (I don't know how that bullet got there...strange. :) )

You know, I used to shoot guns often when I was in Scouts. I was never a good shot though...I can remember only hitting a target one time, with a rifle. Although, I almost took out a Scout leader once. Complete accident...I thought this .22 handgun had jammed b/c the trigger didn't "feel" right...turns out it was a hair trigger. No one got hurt, thank God. And it didn't freak me out too bad, as I shot several guns after that incident...though it's probably been about 9 or 10 years now.

While I appreciate the offer, I must decline. Shepps and I will be trying to figure out my computer on Saturday.

At our local gun shop they have a lovely black aluminum walking stick with an 8-ball for a head. When you twist it in exactly the right way, a CO2 cartridge is fired out of the cane as a projectile, propelled by the force of the gas in it. That sucker really has some velocity on it, and I'm sure it has considerable stopping power.
