I only knew her as Sarah Jane; but, that role alone seems to have secured her place in Whistory. Who's going to take care of K-9 now? Perhaps if I dropped the interrogative, I've answered my own question.
Thanks for the notice Mlle Dani. |
Bummer about Sarah Jane. :(

I remember seeing her when she did a guest spot in the first season of the new Who...she didn't look all that good to me then. I remember wondering if it was simply age, or was she ill? I guess now I know. Sad, she was my second-favorite companion.

Heard about it this morning on Five Live.
Russell T Davis was talking about her. It filtered through my sleepy head that he was talking in the past tense. I could barely believe it - she was so young. Turns out she was older than I thought, but still younger than my Mum (my benchmark these days). I'm so glad the new Who found a place for Sarah Jane. I know from JB's autobiography that as a long term fan, one of the highlights of his Who experience was getting to work with her. She was iconic. Rest Sarah Jane, the journey is complete. |
She was my second-favorite companion as well.
I never got to see the Sarah Jane Adventures, they didn't think we needed them on this side of the pond, apparently. |
There was a season or two of Sarah Jane Adventures spread across SciFi and BBC America, but neither one kept it up. It was a fun show.
Sad news. |

I watched a few crossover episodes, but they really were aimed at the under ten year olds. All good fun but not complicated or scary. I'd have adored them as a child, but pretty much ignored them as an adult. Just sad she has gone. I didn't even know she was ill. |
