A problem made worse in Haiti because so many more buildings were constructed defectively. Five buildings in that picture. Only a defective one failed. Building so that earthquakes do not destroy a building is understood. But not always implemented. In Memphis, I fear tremendous damage. As stated repeatedly, that region does not take 'earthquake proofing' seriously.

Curious were 50 some earthquakes in Arkansas only in the past two weeks.

Nail-head. The quake was very shallow, something unheard of in that part of the country. They never expected it. Looks like CC will be rebuilt Japanese style.
