I was once pulled over after dropping off a guy I used to work with. Turns out that area is "known for drug trafficking". Well no shit. That covers everywhere. I guess that gives them the right to stop anybody for nothing. I spent a grand hour fucking with those guys. I kept putting my hands in my pockets, making quick furtive gestures like I had just thrown something to the side. "Can we search your vehicle, sir?" Oh, hell no. There's no telling what you'll find...they searched for a half hour. Found some old french fries under the seat. Ah, good times, man, good times.

update! guess who i talked to today? that's right folks....Border Security! they had to finish up paperwork. bob came and gave me a phone number and contact name and said this woman wanted to talk to me. ffs. hell she didn't even ask me any details about the flight. i offered more info than she needed about it i guess. that i'm instrument rated, commercial single and multi. shoot she was trying to give me pointers on flying jobs! lol! i mean seriously? anyway it was actually a pleasant convo so i can't really complain i guess...
