I did a Simpsons here, but it might have been a bit obscure. :)

Ralph Wiggum - reading the Valentine's day card Lisa gave to him (out of pity) - led to her undoing.

A couple years ago, I wanted a "I choo choo choose you" card to give to my wife for VD, but they don't exist, so I had to make one.

Did it have a train on it?

My dentist has a Simpsons poster on the ceiling and the last time I was there it crossed my mind that I must be the only person in the Kingdom who has never seen an episode of the show.

A mate of mine, who is in his fifties and has three kids, has seen every one several times. He did put me on to a couple of pearls of Homer's wisdom:

(i) "Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try."

(ii) "Trying is the first step towards failure"

I think I could warm to Homer.:right:

One of my favorites: Homer - "No, Lisa, the point of Moby Dick is 'Be Yourself' "

Yes. Indeed it did.

My quotes and references come from The League of Gentlemen. And worse than that - sometimes from their DVD commentaries. After all, many things they say aren't funny out of context.

It's a local show for local people, outsiders wouldn't understand.

True. But we didn't burn them!
