This is what you get when you buy a car on CL

Anyone want to guess how many months they had to apply a cattle prod to that bear and lion so they would resist their natural urge to immediately and remorselessly attack and eat everything else in this picture with a pulse?Mmmmm... Carnie-life. Good stuff.

From another forum where this pic was discussed came the question: When he gets to the river and only has a small boat, how does he get that menagerie across without the sheep gettin' et?

spudcon 02-05-2010 01:38 PM

They don't cross any rivers. They're on their way home from the zoo, and when they get there, it's dinner time, and my guess is the lion gets et first.

Pulling the haggis wagon is definitely a euphemism.
I'll be using it.
As soon as I work out what it means.

When I take you out, tonight, with me,
Honey, here's the way it's goin' to be:
You will set behind a team of a lion, sheeps, and a bear
In the slickest gig you ever see!

Chicks and ducks and geese better scurry
When I take you out in the surrey,
When I take you out in the surrey with the fringe on top!
Watch that fringe and see how it flutters
When I drive them high steppin' strutters.
Nosey pokes'll peek thru' their shutters and their eyes will pop!
The wheels are yeller, the upholstery's brown,
The dashboard's genuine leather,
With isinglass curtains y' can roll right down,
In case there's a change in the weather.
Two bright sidelight's winkin' and blinkin',
Ain't no finer rig I'm a-thinkin'
You c'n keep your rig if you're thinkin' 'at I'd keer to swap
Fer that shiny, little surrey with the fringe on the top!

I lost my lion-sheep-bear-pulled popcorn cart in 9/11, you insensitive bastards.:sniff:

Also, if you put a lion on a treadmill, will it still eat you to death?

squirell nutkin 02-05-2010 07:02 PM

Only if you are playing Vegas...

Does anyone have a cool "reaction to 4-animals-1-wagon" vid?

Elspode 02-06-2010 12:11 AM

Sun angle is about directly overhead. The disparity in the shadows is because the awning does not cover the full length of the cart.

I think this is some religious thing. Lion...lambs...bear...

xoxoxoBruce 02-06-2010 01:14 AM

Well, I welcome our wagon pulling overlords. ;)

Two by two would be a lot faster, too, if the sheep where in front.
