What makes the "populist" movement (including the tea baggers) sweeping the country these days so interesting is that it is not all anti-tax and anti-government.

I can just hear the collective sigh.

I had no doubt it would pass though. There are many median income families that are feeling the pinch and according to the census data 94% of workers are private wage and salary.
I thought that was interesting.


(side note)
The day I cast my ballot there was an older gentleman walking with double canes slowly up the ramp.I followed him in but on the way out one of his canes slipped on the ramp. He keeled toward the hand rail but my instinct was to try and catch him. He was tall as a tree and would have crushed me if he had fallen my way.
I must have looked pretty silly trying to catch a gentleman that was probably a good 7 feet tall but then I thought what would anyone do just stand there and let him go down? sheesh

@ redux - "tea baggers" & "populist" in the same sentence - interesting.

@ Sky - yeh taxing the elusive "somebody else" or "the big bad corp" not a difficult one usually.
