Hmmph. I remeber Oswald getting capped (although I saw it on broadcast film; live TV news coverage was very rare in those days and had to be arranged *far* in advance; this is where the catchphrase "film at 11" comes from.).

Furthermore, I listen to my own computer advice, and have made out pretty well over the last thirty years. IMHO you should revise your spec there, Chewy.

Tobaisty, he can;t be a geek if he goes to Best Buys for tech advice and driver installs. Even for Windows. Erm...I mean *especially* for Windows.

Earthlink software is notorious for trashing perfectly good WIndows installs. I think they replace DLLs without level checking them, mostly because *their* stuff will work and they don't care what else they break as long as you start paying them monthlies. Configure a normal PPP dialup and SMTP/POP email and be happy.

Um, that was my point, although I wasn't gonna come right out and say it.. didn't wanna pour salt in his wounds just yet. :)

We are what one commonly refers to as Permanent Residents.

With this baby ( a card, really), we can enter some countries without visa. Visas are a pain in the ass, by the way.

I see...now quit mooching off the benefits of our country and become a citizen. ;)

So...you're all squared away with a PA D/L now, Syc? Car inspection/registration, etc? Wouldn't wanna be a mooch now. :-)

We've had PA DLs and insurance since shortly after we moved here. The car is co-owned by a resident of the state of Maryland, and can legally have MD tags.
