I detest my son's Mac. He had a problem with it recognizing an external drive and the path to fix the problem was very counter intuitive.

Everyone I know who has a mac loves it and never complains about anything computer-related, but most people I know who use microsoft constantly complain about stuff.

On another note, what is Tool-NirCmd?

Nearly 60 percent of the infections monitored by IBM ISS are in Asia, followed by 18 percent each in Europe and South America, and 4 percent in North America, the statistics show. By country, China leads with 16.6 percent, followed by Brazil at 10.8 percent, Russia at 10.2 percent and Korea at 4.6 percent, according to ISS.

New Scientist (am I becoming a shill?) has a very interesting article about the full history of the conficker worm. Damn, that is some clever stuff.

I saw something about it (on 60 Minutes maybe? It was a while ago so I don't remember) and they said the people who created it would actually rent it out for 2 weeks or so to people for their own nefarious purposes. Also, it's supposed to act like an operating system or something, so they can't really stop it.
