Apparently moreish is a Brit word. I had a friend visiting from the UK who described some pecans provided by my US friend as "moreish". She said she enjoyed hearing it said because she's read it in British fiction but it isn't used here. (she is an editor to whom alien words tend to stand out)

Sundae Girl is visiting the US and hears the following joke: There was a fellow whose last name was "Strange" and he wanted his tombstone left blank so that whenever anyone saw it they'd say "Look at that blank tombstone, isn't that Strange?"

Upon her arrival back home she immediately rings her mate, DanaC.
"Dana, I've just heard the most brilliant joke in the US. It seems there was a man named Strange who wanted his tombstone left blank. That way when people saw it they'd say: "Look at that blank tombstone, how peculiar."
