It does simplify your life if you give your kids the same initials......right up until the point they compete/participate in the same events.

Hey! I was going to post that - my kids have all white socks, one with pink heels and toes, and one with grey, and it really does eliminate the mismatches

Costco has stifled my personal sock plan. They used to sell fourpacks in the same color. As soon as a sock gets a hole in the toe, it goes to the rag bin. Theoretically I would never havemore than one sock left over.

Now they sell fourpacks in four different colors.

Damn the big box stores and their unreliable sock vendors. Damn them to hell.

My ex and I both used to wear the same socks - I got them from work and they had the company name on. No mis-matched socks for us!

Even when I moved back to London (10 years after we separated) I still had one lonely Dr Solomon's sock. I binned it in a ceremonious way. Funny that the last thing to survive a marriage would be a sock.
