My non-selfish answer is for my family and friends to be happy and safe.

My selfish answer is just a little breathing room a la money. Oh, and a camera. And a DVD-rom. And cable. And home internet. A new car. Some clothes. A trip to a cabin with a sweet, funny, caring man. To feel better. Etc and so on...

Ok, lemme to a little bragging here:

• My PCs disC drive is a combo DVD-ROM and CD-RW, and my DVD player plays audio CDs, MP3s, CD-ROMs, CD-RWs, and has a built-in VCR.
• If your wishing for better TV, why not just got all the way. I got DirecTV - 434 channels including the regular cable stuff + 28 premium channels + BBC America + my area broadcast networks + 5 cable news channels, and there are a few DirecTV exclusive channel, my fav. of which is the 101.
• As for my current connection to the 'net: I got 1.5Mbps (max.) DSL.
