might get frustrating if youre out taking a special shot, and someone beats you to the punch

also, might fade away if someone forgets its their turn....and doesnt get the shot.

it's still steve dallas's turn, V. I was busy at work when i considered the open floor possibility.....as I reflect on it now, though, that destroys the whole point of the thread. which is for one person to challenge another to go get a NEW picture of something.....

not to use one they already have....

Hmmmmmm.... kay. The time frame thing is what makes it difficult to participate.

yeah....if people are gonna take a really long time to get the shots...or if the shots are particularly difficult to find......

Why not make it a 24 hour thing, and if you can't do it in that time, someone else will get the gong to find the shot.

This works because it'll make people move quickly (when ever they can) because a) they want to have the right to name the next object for the next person and; b) if someone else snaps a cool one while they're waiting 'just in case', it means they'll get to take over the mantle.

Just a thought, but I don't intend to participate, so it's up to those who do.
