I don't hate anything at present.
In fact, I'm having trouble remembering the last time I really hated something. Sure I disapprove of quite a few things, regard others with contempt or annoyance ... but hate? Not really. I hope you don't all hate me now for being such a smug bastard :p |
I'm one of those that doesn't really use the word, my definition of it is pretty extreme.

The Heartbreak of Psoriasis.
Without some further research, I don't even know what it looks like. |
It depends on how severe it is. It can look pretty extreme. But then again, most people with the condition just have a few patches (same as with eczema), often on elbows and ankles, quite often along the hairline and scalp. It can be quite distressing, from what i can gather, but as I say it varies from person to person.
In terms of what it looks like: usually a kind of whitish dry, flakey or knobbly patch of skin. It's basically an over production of skin cells (I think) so the patch of skin affected is thickened. Because it's lost suppleness the skin then cracks. In severe cases there's quite a lot of cracked, weeping skin as well as the whitish patches of scaly skin. |
