Hmm.
Quote:

an African-American man needs to earn $154,000 more than a white man.
From the census:
Quote:

Real median income did not change between 2002 and 2003 for non-Hispanic white households (about $48,000), black households (about $30,000) or Asian households (about $55,500).
Damn! incomes must have gone up a lot in the last 5 years! Unless they didn't use a representative sample of the population? But they must have done. The article seems to imply that the results are general

I'm with lj on this one. We know down to the nearest thousand what we are earning or are likely to earn each year, both combined and individually. That counts for both of us. I can't imagine not keeping a good eye on my finances.

Neither can I. But sometimes the best choice for some people is not to keep any eyes on it in order to avoid temptation.

You'd need this to keep a close eye on my finances.

I often do. 10? 10.5? 11? Something around there.

I pay very little attention to my finances....which probably explains why I own very little and tend to go overdrawn unexpectedly.

Yeah, OK. close enough. but to just say that you don't know how much you make sounds like you have no idea. I earn commisions, so i get paid different every month.....i don't project my YTD every week, but I know what I made last year, and that's what I expect to make ( or more) this year. that's what I'd say I make if you asked me.

don't

Apparently, I didn't make enough to overcome my shortcomings, but I do now!

Even though my sweetie never fails to remind me of each and every one of them.
