We don't really do anything for Valentine's Day. Sometimes I make chocolate covered strawberries and we eat them, but sometimes I do that when it's not Valentine's Day, too.

Yay! The first annual cellar classy porn party!

On the day itself I'll be on my own in Groningen, because I have classes both during the day and at night. The weekend before I won't see my guy, because I'm on camp with my theatre society. The weekend after I'll finally get to see him again, but then we have friends over all weekend so there'll be little romancing. Sigh.

Valentine's Day is also our anniversary. We're not married, but it is the day he chose to fly to Florida to meet me for the first time (we met online). Two months later, he moved down. That was 4 years ago.

We try to do something fun and out of the ordinary. One year, he bought us tickets to Cirque Du Soleil. One year we went exploring in Ybor City and picked a random restaurant for dinner. This year we're discussing going on a gambling or dance cruise for the evening.

We try to buy each other some small gift that we each want, but that is not something we can afford on a normal basis.

I also buy cards and candy for my children, because I feel that Valentine's Day is about love and I love them dearly.
