Zune? No Way!

Having had to use Microsoft Word at work for years now, I would NEVER patronize Microsoft anything.

Microsoft has gone from being a leader to a follower. Screw them.

I don't have an iPod either. Here's what I do:

I take my battery-operated TURNTABLE down to the record bins at the thrift stores and church rumage sales. I then sample records from the 50s 60s and early 70s that I don't own, then spend a few bucks and bring them home where I record them directly from my home system to my mini-disc player. Friends send me contemporary music on CDs which I record the same way.

And "the social" is such a fuckin lame promotion.

How about: producing, exclusively, stereo amplifiers that will only accept an input from a source that is licensed to only play licensed material?

Overheard at Target: (lady on cellphone, calling for expert advice) "iPods are called Zunes, right?"

Actually, I believe I've read where that technology actually exists, but hasn't yet been put into play.

I read an article, back when Napster was still up, that predicted the hardware-type DRM we're starting to see, IE Vista disabling your outputs of certain signal types, unless it approves their source; or what we'll see next, monitors that won't even display those un-clean signals, etc.

I got Pete a 4gig Sansa (Sandisk) it works beautifully for a lot less than ipod.
