I bet the two were connected somehow... they would have been for me.

I have to ask, is your friend known for eating random food left on counters??

Where's Nancy Drew when you need her?

Someone stole the kishka
Someone stole the kishka
Who stole the kishka,
from the butcher's shop?
Who stole the kishka?
Who stole the kishka?
Who stole the kishka?
Someone call the cops!

Fat and round and firmly packed
It was hanging on the rack
Someone stole the kishka
When I turned my back
Who stole the kishka?
Who stole the kishka?
Who stole the kishka?
Someone bring it back!

Someone stole the kishka
Someone stole the kishka
Who stole the kishka,
from the butcher shop?
Who stole the kishka?
Who stole the kishka?
Who stole the kishka?
Someone call the cops!

Yusef found the kishka
Yusef found the kishka
Yusef found the kishka
And he hung it on the rack.
He found the kishka
He found the kishka
He found the kishka
Yusef brought it back
Heeeeeyyyyyyyy
Hey!
huh-huh-huh-huh

What we really all are much more interested in, DanaC, is the photos from
"The mystery of the hidden sausage."

But then it would be less mysterious I suppose. Though no less interesting.

If it was a cold sausage in the house of a good friend of mine, I might pinch it  ... I'm awfully fond of cold sausages ... :o ...

Aheh....My friend is very partial to the occassional sausage supper.....but I think I have now narrowed the list of suspects:

It was either Pilau.....or Pilau.

One of my favorite tunes from Dr. Demento ...

Whatever you do, don't try to eat this stuff without the appropriate cultural heritage. You won't be able to get it down. It's nasty.

OK.,...and kishka is?

I know Pilau stole the sausage because he's started taking an enormous interest in my kitchen worksurface.....he's taken to checking it out rather regularly....it's almost as if he excpects it to produce sausages at any given moment...hmmm

ha ha ha I wonder what his word for it would be? Like: I imagine my cats would call my hands, my "petters" . . .

When I was growing up Mom would grill out on ALL LOT ,
she would get the fire going ,
then go back in side and get the taters ( or what ever else she was cooking ) , fix a drink ,
then go out and cook what ever she was grilling ,
Oh did I forget to mention she would generly take what ever she was grilling out and leve it on the table on the back patio ,
she did this LOTS !!!
Rosie ( our dog she was an ALLBreed !!) would sit there "Guarding" the steaks
once mom went Back out ,
Rosie had this Verry ashamed look on her face , as she licked her chops .
as Jimmy Buffet said " Temtation got the best of me , and I took a SLASH !!!"
That was the ONLY time she EVER did that .
