First time in '62 & over a time, 4 times that direction and 4 times back with the last return in January '71 (I said '70 earlier, but we observed New Years at sea in the Pacific). I even took the "opportunity" to swim in Gatun Lake while we waited our turn at the locks (YUCK! nasty water).
I wish I could do the Canal transit once a year. There is still something about going to the "special" places. Just thinking about some of them will still give me goosebumps. A few of my favorites (by ship):
