On another note: You could do worse than Ibram as a son in law. :) |
Ah, but could Ibram do better than the gem he has now?
No, because there is not one person on this earth better than the gem he has now. Though that won't stop him from eying certain ladies a certain way... |

This weekend? I just spent five days in Canterbury for 'Planning Summer School' with 220 Councillors from around the country.....lots of workshops, seminars and papers on the wonderful world of Planning, Regeneration and Development Managing :P
Sounds quite dull. Certainly sounded dull as ditch water when I was 'persuaded' to 'volunteer'. Actually it was really interesting. Learned a lot about community cohesion and how local developers and local government can affect things at a societal level. Also, I met up with a bunch of Aberdeenshire Councillors who were kind enough to adopt me as their token Labourite and mental enough to make the time fun. Lots of interesting stuff to see in Canterbury, not least the Cathedral. We (ie. The Aberdeenshire contingent of which I was an honorary member :P) Made sure to fully investigate the 'Nighttime Economy' of Canterbury. The only depressing thing about it, was that the students who had arrived on campus early, apparently lodged complaints with the Office over late night noise. (not necessarily us, there were apparently several late night parties held about the campus by various councillors) What a sorry state the world is in when students are the ones complaining about the noise :P |
This past weekend I had the misfortune to attempt to fly to Peoria for a family reunion centered around a grandmother's 100th birthday. For those of you keeping count, that's with three children, the youngest of whom is only three months old. Oh, and one flight was cancelled on the way there, resulting in an extra connection and 8 extra hours of traveling, and on the return trip the initial flight was delayed, resulting in a sprint across Chicago O'Hare, carrying the aforementioned baby, wearing flip-flops, to fortunately make last boarding call for the connecting flight.
But all my meals over the weekend came from such fine dining establishments as Waffle House and The Golden Corral, that made it all better. :greenface |
Ow..... I didn't know you were into masochism, Clodfobble.:bonk:

You're in Taiwan? Dude, I thought you were in New York.
I wouldn't get involved with any Taiwanese chick that you might dump. They could find your body floating out to sea if her male family members got pissed. |
