Yes.;)

Welcome. I think that makes THREE women with 'vettes...doesn'tr Susan have one too?

Hoof Hearted 07-11-2006 09:42 PM

I moderate at a (family-friendly) Corvette website and I am amazed at the growing number of women joining with their vettes. I think it's great.

Welcome Hoof.
Two questions and this isn't the "quiz"

1) Hoof Hearted? Do you prefer Krylon or Hammerite?

2) Snow and Ice in Georgia? I was born in Atlanta and can't for the life of me remember any snow or ice.

Carry on, smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Hoof Hearted 07-11-2006 11:05 PM

Krylon paint? I am not familiar with hammerite. ...am I setting myself up for a huge joke...?
Snow/Ice in Georgia? You bet! 2005.

Hmmm. The car is the fantasy and that means you're...a tease.

Gasp! Not MEeeeEEE! (as I wildly bat my eyelashes)

I suppose I should clarify about 'flirting'.
I'll stop and talk with anyone who asks (in daylight, very public or well lit parking lots) about the 'vette. Most are men, some are children with parents.
I flirt a bit while driving, but I never initiate it. Usually I just smile and nod at whomever waves or ogles, I am never rude or unfriendly towards unasked for attention.

I'll not get into a snow pissing contest with you right now, but that accumulation would be the dew condensing up here. Still, I am impressed with that for GA.

A "hoofer" is street slang for a paint sniffer. I have been told that the metallic colors were more sought after since they needed more propellant.

Bad joke, and not huge to boot.

Hoof Hearted 07-12-2006 11:12 PM

I always thought a "hoofer" was a dancer and paint sniffers were 'huffers'.

Hoof Hearted was the name of a Thoroughbred race horse. I like the sound of it when you say it fast. :D I always loved when owners tried to name their horses in a manner to trip up or tongue tie the announcer.

Example: (read it quickly and out loud)
And coming through the middle of the pack around the far turn is Hoof Hearted! Make My Day is still in the lead with Roses Are Red hot on his heels. And making his move is Hoof Hearted! And down the stretch they come!
Make My Day has fallen to second place as Roses Are Red makes his bid for the win, but Hoof Hearted is making up for lost time! Hoof Hearted has passed Make My Day and is battling with Roses Are Red for the lead!
Hoof Hearted! Roses Are Red! Hoof Hearted! It's going to be a photo finish, folks!

That photo was of an ice storm. We've been in GA for five years and it has snowed probably 4 times, never more than 4", and it never 'stays'. The ice was bad, it was well over an inch thick on the roads. What makes ice/snow so bad is that people down here don't know how to drive in it and they become more dangerous than usual.

I thought you seemed too cultured to be one of those gals with the t-tops off and her own top pulled up over her head...darn it.

Welcome, HH. And for what its worth...I thought you were a horse lover. I didn't get the joke on the handle until you explained it. And another brain cell bites the dust...

LOL horses are definitely an addiction. When I met one of my best friends (about 8-9 years ago) she had one. Now she has several and is part owner of a saddle shop.

Rock Steady 07-13-2006 12:21 AM

Beautiful. And the horse is pretty too.

The rare name I chose for my company turned out to be the name of a race horse.

Well trained too....no bridle. :thumb:
