I have found one exception to that rule ... 3/4 glass Young's chocolate stout, 1/4 glass framboise lambic. Chocolate raspberry beer is nothing to be sneered at.

No it's a special recipe for "american tastes" as perceived by guiness, I suppose. e.g. in utah you can buy heineken, becks, etc, and it is all 3.2 but looks like regular beer from the label.

I have gotten so skeptical that whenever I hear any claim I instantly assume the opposite of the claim. "I'm not pissing on your shoes; it's raining!"
