I know he was "only" a cat, but he had been SUCH a good friend. He camped on the San Miguel River with me for three months and was the best mouser the San Miguel had ever seen. I used to watch him chasing butterflies and he'd make me laugh. At night, his deep purr lulled me to sleep. He could sit up and beg just like a dog, and he used to do his begging routine when he sat in the window and watched birds at my feeder - cracked me and everyone else up who saw him do it. I miss him very much. I can't stand to think of the ending he may have endured. :bawling:

He was adorable! I'm so sorry that you even had to deal with the thought of what might have happened to him, much less it be the truth (even though we don't know if it is or not).
