My daughter is a good friend of the guy who did this and quite a few of the actors in the video, they went to college together.

She said he posted it on his Facebook page and that is when the link to Youtube went viral. So far he has had comments by the band that did the music that they liked it and by actor and director Tom Hanks who said it was better then anything his Hollywood production company has done.
