AllofMP3.com is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well, April edges it, but it's still pretty fucking awesome.

sycamore i actually thought you were cool. right up to the admission of listening to green day. without a gun to your head. :headshake

they are to punk what kenny g is to jazz.

elSicomoro 07-14-2005 05:38 PM

I like Green Day...they're not totally punk, but punk enough to be legit.

lookout123 07-14-2005 05:41 PM

my soul weeps for those that put punk and green day in the same sentence. now i've done it. now i must weep for myself.

i suggest that you put yourself on a steady diet of The Misfits, The Exploited, Subhumans, GBH, Minor Threat, Crashdog, Gorilla Biscuits, Calabrese, The New Thrills, 7 Seconds, Resurrection Mary, Buttlint, Bomb Nevada, and manymanymore and call me when your condition passes.

elSicomoro 07-14-2005 05:42 PM

I would almost take Green Day over Fugazi, only b/c Ian MacKaye irritates the fuck out of me.

lookout123 07-14-2005 05:49 PM

i don't even consider Fugazi to be punk. and Ian McKaye is a selfimpressed fuckwit. and for the last time He DID NOT "INVENT" STRAIGHTEDGE! he screamed a song. a fairly crummy song. but he said F*ck a lot so now he is a hero to thousands of kids who don't even know who the hell he is or what the Discord house was. :rar:

elSicomoro 07-14-2005 05:51 PM

You feel better now? :)

lookout123 07-14-2005 05:57 PM

sure. i like ranting on the guys that i thought were pusses 15-18 years ago when they are still in the scene and still pusses.

There is a new CD that I just saw at Starbucks this afternoon...Sly and the Family Stone tracks remixed and redone by artists like Moby, The Roots and Black Eyed Peas. That shit has got to be on fire...it's not on Rhapsody or allofmp3.com, so I might actually have to go out and buy it. Hmmm...

Why not just buy the original? Remakes make me gag - get your own tunes - these ones have already been done the way they were supposed to........
