mmmmm...... which member of a famous 70's group wrote a 60's hit for The Yardbirds, and what was it/ |
"Heart Full of Soul", Graham Gouldman of 10cc.
|
DAMMIT I KNEW THAT ONE! Stupid UT beating me to it... mumble grumble rawr...
|
Actually, Gouldman wrote several of the Yardbirds hits, Heart Full of Soul included, though I was thinking of 'For your Love'.
Still, UT got it right. |
Gouldman also wrote "Bus Stop" for the Hollies. One of Crosby, Stills, and Nash was a Hollie when "Bus Stop" became their first charting hit. Which one?
|
Steven (stephen?) Stills

Yes! He joined CSN because the Hollies weren't a good vehicle for his more serious work.

WooooHoooo! After 264 posts, I finally get one.
OK, here's the Q: Before Black Sabbath hit it big, their lead guitar player (Tony Iommi) left the group to play for another band (who also hit it big later) then quit after one practice to rejoin Sabbath. Name the other band. Bonus: Why did he quit the other band after only one practice? |
Deep Purple?
Coz Ronnie James Dio is an asshat? |
Not Deep Purple.
First clue: The band in question is still together and still touring. And by together, I mean the people that are commonly associated with the band are still members of the band. |
The Band?
Because he didn't like the name of The Band? |
Nope.
2nd clue: During the very brief time Iommi was with the other band, he appeared with them in the Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus in 1969. The concert was filmed but the film was lost and for decades it was thought that no copies of it existed. I guess somebody found it because it was just released on DVD. |
