Don't read if you are of a sensitive nature

Proud bad momma moment....

Polo Girl's oppo was playing dirty, pinching her hard after the whistle was blown so my baby called her a cunt Apparently the girl was a bit upset and so one of their mutual "friends" posted a snarky comment about it/sportsmanship on PG's faceb
ook wall. That's my girl
:cuss::angel:

BigV 04-29-2015 08:55 PM

so, the snark was aimed at polo girl, or in defense of polo girl?

btw, good on ya, bad momma, teachin her to stand up for herself. attagirl.

monster 04-29-2015 09:16 PM

at polo girl. Apparently, PG's behavior was "unsportsmanlike"

monster 04-29-2015 09:19 PM

(she deleted the comment before I saw it but told me about it because I commented that I was surprised to see Littleshit had commented on her post about high school dress code but I couldn't see what he wrote -maybe because I have him on quiet mode.....) this facebook malarkey's all way too complex for old fogies like me

BigV 04-30-2015 09:34 AM

it may have been unsportsmanlike... coulda been.

but it's important to know how to respond in this kind of contest, and in the countless challenges that she'll face as she grows up. it sounds like she's gotten the hang of communicating in the way her desired audience will understand. I'm not advocating unsportsmanlike conduct, but I do advocate appropriate responses and I'm a champion of strong daughters. cliche though it may be, sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire. really, I'm tickled that she found a way to stand up for herself that was effective and not an overreaction.

Let's get back to things to be really proud of... she scored 4 of the 10 goals and she plays defense these days :)

DEFENSE! DEFENSE! DEFENSE! DEFENSE!

Clodfobble 07-16-2015 02:46 PM

Holy shit, my daughter.

So I was messing around on our little keyboard, trying to figure out the notes to a song we had been listening to in the car ("Freeze Ray" from Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, in case you're curious,) and I'd found the first three chords but was still mangling the fourth. From the other room, Minifobette yells,

"No, Mommy, it's supposed to be a G!"
"It is?" I ask.
"Well, a D or a G, I'm not sure."

The correct chord was a fucking D and G together. For real.

And once I told her in amazement that she was right, she casually says, "Yeah, I think I want to take piano lessons, too" (in addition to her current violin lessons, which she demanded two years ago and is still going strong on.)

That is spooky cool.

Gifted!

There's a chance she'll support you in your old age. :haha:

No wait... a starving musician.

Griff 07-17-2015 06:30 AM

Super cool kid!

Clodfobble 07-17-2015 12:37 PM

Took a video of it.

And then she thought it would be funny to make me play.

xoxoxoBruce 07-17-2015 12:51 PM

Console yourself with free tickets to her shows, although the airfare will be your responsibility. ;)

BigV 07-17-2015 08:51 PM

So cool!

So that last three note chord was a JFC?! Awesome.

I would be stuck with G-D G-D all day long right there with you Clodfobble.

Sincerely, that's **amazing**.
