Just got my player back today after being out for repair since October... (The guy was backed up and it needed alot of work (The track changing circuit.. Im not sure what was wrong (He told me but I forgot)))

ABSOLUTELY GOREGOUS SOUNDING!!!!!!

I've heard a lot of 8 track players with brand new tapes, but because they were all in vehicles with a hodgepodge assortment of speakers they sounded better than the stock radio but not great. Haven't heard one indoors hooked to a hi-fi or stereo system. What are you playing it through?

Im gonna have to take it back again.... The guy didnt make sure it was back in correctly,the door doesnt close properly and some of my tapes dont play well and they did before...... I think its back too far.....


Ya 8 tracks are goregous but are quite hard to deal with sometimes.... I have lost several as I dont know how to fix them like some do..... I have fixed some but just stuff like changing the pad,etc....

I have had many where the tape is BACKWARD!! (Dark side front) -- I have no idea how they get like this!!

But what kind of speakers, that's where the rubber meets the road so to speak, or are you using headphones?

Oh I just have 1 speaker hooked up and I listen in Mono (I have a stereo-mono adapter)

My 8 track player is no better than it was when it started having the problem...... Alot of my cartrides dont play well...... He lied to me and im pissed..... He had the fucka thing 6 months..... I felt bad cause he was originally closing by 31 May so I told him he could put it off until he closes and then work on it @ home and I could get it then.... He emails me last week and says its all fixed..... I was so happy and went and got it and IT IS NOT FIXED AT ALL!!!!!

Pisses me off cause now he doesnt have to get out of there by 31 may!!!! -- WHY DIDNT HE KEEP IT UNTIL IT WAS FIXED??

I may take it back.... Well I have to,otherwise I have no player!! (Most of my tapes wont play)
