Wow - gorgeous.

You're the type to hide your light under a bushel.
We now know you are successful at work AND good looking.

Now we know you might have lucked out on a good picture.
But I bet anything you've taken more before and will in future.

funny Jinx, I did too. I had to reread it thrice to get it right.
It really is a beautiful picture though. The serenity is spilling out. I wanna be there without a care in the world. I'd probably never leave.

Until those damn quakers come out and chase you off their hat plantation.

Thanks! We went to a Halloween party (I drove one of my g-friends to visit her g-friend for this halloweenie party, then we stayed at the house) and, me not being one to "dress up" decided I would just be the paparrazzi. Hung my camera on a lanyard around my neck and I was good to go. :)

Hahahaha...my car is small but not THAT small. And, at this point, I'd rather have a cow running around my house than another cat!

Opossums

Clodfobble 11-03-2009 11:58 PM

Seriously, Zen? You've never seen a 'possum?

capnhowdy 11-04-2009 06:42 AM

Obviously Zen has never been on a public highway.;)

monster 11-04-2009 07:29 AM

*sigh*

Zengum lives in Australia.

This is what their possums look like:

...and no O in front of the name.

And there aren't any in the UK....

be more international, people!

....those are ugly fuckers, impress. I'm guessing you don't get bears there? Your neighbor is nuts.

Shawnee123 11-04-2009 07:31 AM

Australia has all those marsupials running around. They're lousy with marsupials.

They have some nasty mean teeth, too -- and will bite if cornered.

No, here in suburban Orange County, California, we don't have bears. Occasionally, we do have mountain lions, though, and plenty of coyotes.

From Wiki
Quote:

The name derives from their resemblance to the opossums of the Americas. (The name is from Algonquian wapathemwa, not Greek or Latin, so the plural is possums, not possa.) Possum is also used in North America as a short form of Opossum.

monster 11-05-2009 06:10 PM

but in reality, they don't look a whole lot like them. Just sayin'. Aussie Possies are cute.

ZenGum 11-05-2009 06:31 PM

Damn, you guys have some UGLY possums. Ok, O-possums. Ours are cute fuzzy widdle cwitturs that will still scratch and bite like mad if cornered.

Went to the zoo today. It was cool because I've been going there for about 20 years, and finally saw orangutans using a special cable highway that was built for them. It connects their house to another location in the zoo. They are so high up that they won't try to drop and escape. The cable highway takes them outside of their cages.

skysidhe 11-28-2009 04:47 PM

Thanks. I forgot to mention that one of them took a dump onto the sidewalk below as it was going by. It must be a regular thing, because there was a zoo person there with a scoop and a disinfectant spray bottle all ready. She was dressed up in a tyvek suit with a respirator and rubber gloves.

Shawnee123 01-11-2010 11:07 AM

Isn't it good luck to be shat upon by a large hairy primate? Or is that just birds?

monster 01-11-2010 11:47 AM

I'd say it's pretty bad luck when a bird gets shat upon by a large hairy primate. For the bird, anyway.

capnhowdy 01-12-2010 06:59 AM

I think getting shit on is bad luck in any perspective. Unless you're a dung beetle.

One would think so, I mean, think of the logistics: bird has to be flying BELOW the large hairy primate, at just the right time. If the bird were on a treadmill...
