I love this thread! I cannot get over how much Eva has grown. I still picture her as an itty-bitty thing. Love that pic of Max

Chocolatl 10-22-2013 08:21 AM

The "big boys" are still about 12 in my mind's eye -- so strange to see them as young men. :) The whole crew looks great, Ali!

Aliantha 10-22-2013 04:52 PM

Thanks everyone. We are very happy with how they are growing. :)

Aliantha 10-25-2013 05:27 PM

Cute! Eva is all about closing doors and drawers for me atm. After she does it, she looks at me with a big grin and claps her hands. lol. Simple things. Hehe

Chocolatl 10-25-2013 06:13 PM

Aww! They just love helping, don't they? Beans likes picking up -- she'll put away all her toys then clap that she's done! Too bad that habit probably won't stick... lol

Aliantha 10-25-2013 06:42 PM

Haha...probably not, although the boys are not too bad. Aden is the messiest, but they seem to be more tidy as they go down the birth order. lol

My daughter plays trombone in the HS band. They're pretty good. I wish the football team was as good. 7 to 28 in the first quarter. It's going to be a long game.

Aliantha 10-25-2013 07:31 PM

Its amazing how fancy yhe band uniforms are. When i was in hs band/orchestra, we just had to wear our school uniform.

glatt 10-25-2013 07:45 PM

They're not even wearing the full uniforms. Only the hats. Keeping the uniforms clean for a competition tomorrow.

Most American schools have no regular school uniform, so they can hit you up harder for a more expensive extracurricular uniform. In our orchestra, girls had to have a black dress sewn from a specific pattern. If your parents wanted, they could attempt it themselves, but pretty much everyone paid the one parent who was a professional seamstress to make theirs. It was like $60 or $70 bucks, but at the same time, she did alterations for free over the next four years as your boobs and hips came in and that freshman dress no longer fit.

The boys had to wear a tux, leased from a retailer the school had an arrangement with (part of the profits went back to the orchestra to pay for trips and whatnot.)

Rest easy, neighborhood kids. Your candy has all been personally inspected by a baby.

This past week Mr. Bones came to visit. I took him for a drive around the neighborhood and then over to my grandkids house last night for Halloween. He is a great guest, he doesn't eat much or talk a lot.

Clodfobble 11-01-2013 12:14 PM

Neat, Chris. Where did you get your Mr. Bones?

chrisinhouston 11-01-2013 02:26 PM

CVS drug store had all their Halloween stuff on clearance so they can get the store all decked out for frigging Christmas. I couldn't resist it at $25 instead of $50 for regular price. And I have to admit it seems pretty well made.

Chris, that was awesome. Fantastic idea.

Here's a photo of Addie & Elizabeth from October with Red, our rooster. I hate that rooster and he feels the same about me. But, the girls love him and he's gentle with them

Big Sarge 12-07-2013 11:14 PM

Beans always make smile. Eva & Beans are at that precious stage

orthodoc 12-07-2013 11:17 PM

Agreed, Sarge. And Addie and Elizabeth and the rooster ... precious photos. If the rooster doesn't like you, it's just a testosterone thing ;). He'll be sweet with your beautiful girls.

Ooh... who's the date? Has he seen your gun collection yet? :)

Griff 12-08-2013 08:52 AM

Just a friend who she's known since Kindergarten. He wants to be the Pope and she's an atheist yet good friends. :)

xoxoxoBruce 12-08-2013 03:46 PM

She's beautiful, and it doesn't hurt to be a friend of the pope.:haha:

Big Sarge 12-09-2013 05:42 AM

Big Sarge 12-09-2013 07:01 PM

orthodoc 12-09-2013 07:10 PM

Cute kids, dwellars. I can't believe how much they've grown. I guess I've been around here for a few years.

my kids always said addie will be famous some day. she'll either be a stripper or a serial killer

Aliantha 06-03-2014 02:50 AM

haha...I'm with you there Sarge. Remind me never to let our two girls meet. I think they would have the power to destroy the world by the sound of it.

Big Sarge 09-01-2014 05:14 PM

Here's a pic of my two youngest.

Lola Bunny 09-01-2014 08:13 PM

Uh...uh....cuties, but I thought Addie is your youngest. When did you have that baby?

Big Sarge 09-01-2014 10:34 PM

long story, but i droped the subject earlier because it was not in favor with dwellers

Big Sarge 09-02-2014 07:13 AM

Need help from a moderator.

Please remove my picture of Hope and Addie. It seems to be controversial and people seem to think she has a birth defect.

Sundae 09-02-2014 08:12 AM

I'm sorry Sarge, I asked a genuine question (privately) but I will apologise publicly because I have offended you.

Big Sarge 09-02-2014 02:25 PM

You were not the only person to contact me. I feel the comments were highly offensive about Hope. The Cellar simply isn't worth it anymore. To answer the big question, I am a surrogate grandfather to her. Her mother is Addie's step sister. She is part of my life through Addie. Her mother was a classmate of Elizabeth's. Once again, there is no blood relation and no romantic involvement.

Aliantha 09-02-2014 04:33 PM

Sarge, honestly, when you make a comment about her being one of your two youngest, most people are going to think you mean she's your daughter. That's the implication. Even if she was downs, why would you be offended? I assume that's the question that was asked because i wondered the same thing. Aside from that, i thought both girls look lovely, regardless of who their parents are or their genetic make up.

Mrs. glatt and our daughter are off at a church retreat this weekend, but I didn't feel like going, so my son and I stayed home. Nice bonding time. Got pizza last night and decided to go for a hike this morning.

The boy has no fear, but an appropriate amount of caution.

Griff 09-13-2014 12:36 PM

Cool. You guys have a fair amount of hiking around DC?
