Btw, Elspode, you and my daughter have the same birthday. She's almost two and a half. I figure, if you have to be born on a holiday, New Year's Eve is the best one. You always have a party, ya know? ;) My mother was born on Christmas Eve. Got one present for her birthday, and one for Christmas. She said it sucked big-time.....

Thank you Lady Sidhe for the kind remark about my eyes. I'm not sure the webcam is properly focussed so can't be sure of it's accuracy but what you said about your grandfather is interesting.

My brothers and I have all noticed that the family blue has become deeper and more intense as we've grown older, a part of the aging process I can happily live with!

I have a young niece with eyes the colour of violets in a gorgeous pure colour, but don't know where in the gene pool they came from.
