I got a set of clippers. Come on over anytime, Shaw!

Shawnee123 06-18-2010 03:25 PM

My hair is longer right now than I think it's ever been. It needs a trim. Any day now, I will be in "just shave the damn stuff off" mode, and I will call you! :)

Hey - I think hairlossbasics is back!

way to be tenacious!

Griff 06-19-2010 09:10 AM

I just took mine down to 1/16". We had a lice outbreak among the shorties this week. They can't infest what they can't find.

kerosene 06-21-2010 09:43 AM

Did you shave their heads, too?

ZenGum 06-22-2010 06:32 AM

How do you shave a louse?

classicman 06-22-2010 08:30 AM

VERY carefully with REALLY tiny scissors.

Word has gotten out about the flame wars here and now opportunists like cremationjewelry are arriving to sell us related stuff.

monster 06-30-2010 11:53 AM

So here I was thinking it was one of those "be compressed into a fake diamond after you die" type deals and was going to be all smartarsed about Flint becoming a stone... but then I googled it and now I just feel ...ew. They make mini urns and things on necklaces so you can carry some of the ashes of your loved one around with you. Would anyone really want to do that? I guess it's a tradition in some cultures to keep some remains, but.... no, no thanks. not for me.

Clodfobble 06-30-2010 09:30 PM

Yeah, my good friend did it with her dad's "cremains." (That's really what they call them. The name alone makes me shudder.) Except she was very adamant about not wanting to handle or even see the ashes go into the jewelry before it was sautered closed. Seems especially strange to want to carry something like that around if you're not even certain he's in there.

squirell nutkin 06-30-2010 09:56 PM

sautered? with mushrooms in beurre blanc?

Clodfobble 07-01-2010 09:20 AM

Snort.

Soldered. Sadly, I'm still writing a lot more coherently than I'm talking these last couple of days...

squirell nutkin 07-01-2010 09:35 AM

Well your brain has a lot to keep track of besides the caprices of the Engrish ranguage

lumberjim 07-01-2010 09:53 AM

i think richlevy posted a thread about that jewelry.

monster 09-09-2010 07:19 AM

Well Leenco12 looks an interesting proposition. Four posts so far, two of which were "Thanks for sharing. It's great". Wonder what the fifth one will be linking to?
