11/25/2005: Gorilla baby

Noticed on Fark, this BBC story details how this lad was born by C-section at Busch Gardens the other day. Happy Friday

ashke  Friday Nov 25 12:36 PM

Will mommy recognize baby?

bluecuracao  Friday Nov 25 08:45 PM

He looks like a happy ole drunk guy, circa 1936. Colorized.

MAdMoNKEY  Saturday Nov 26 01:05 AM

My precious...

Troubleshooter  Saturday Nov 26 12:08 PM

Would that make it a Bush Bayby?

capnhowdy  Saturday Nov 26 07:36 PM

I think I went to school w/this monkey. He always had the free lunch pass.

richlevy  Saturday Nov 26 08:17 PM

I'm seeing a little Harvey Keitel there.

capnhowdy  Saturday Nov 26 08:39 PM

He could pass for Lyle Lovett's old man.

(in reference to richlevy's image)

TinMan  Saturday Nov 26 09:04 PM

Hmmm - more like a young Yoda perhaps?

capnhowdy  Saturday Nov 26 09:14 PM

Welcome to the Cellar, TinMan.... got oil?

TinMan  Monday Nov 28 12:07 AM

Got rust

Ubergeek  Monday Nov 28 03:19 PM

I agree... he looks like a little old drunk guy asleep in the sun.

BTW... where did Bush Garden's get Jacque Cousteau's hat?

Griff  Monday Nov 28 05:43 PM

I am so off bush meat.

dar512  Monday Nov 28 05:47 PM

I think it might be the thin lips or maybe the weird nose. But the first thing I thought of was Michael Jackson.

I defy you to come up with a picture of Cousteau wearing a pink, blue and white hat.

ps- We have photoshop experts here, so no tricks.

BigV  Monday Nov 28 06:07 PM

The filter kinda muddies the colors, but the shape is *totally* there.

xoxoxoBruce  Monday Nov 28 06:18 PM

It sure as hell ain't pink, blue and white stripes.

BigV  Monday Nov 28 06:21 PM

You don't see red and blue stripes in that picture, xoB? Really?

xoxoxoBruce  Monday Nov 28 07:28 PM

PINK! :p

BigV  Monday Nov 28 07:34 PM

I surrender!

But that little beanie sure matches my memory of that little red watch cap he always wore. I think I can find the same cap the baby's wearing at home, it's the same one our baby wore. Honestly, ours was cuter, but not as blissed-out looking as our model here.

xoxoxoBruce  Monday Nov 28 09:29 PM

Yeah, Jacque's was almost always red or sometimes orange but that might have been the picture tube.
