Undertoad Monday Oct 25 12:26 PM10/25/2004: Condom clothes

Brazilian artist Adriana Bertini has been making clothes and sculptures out of different coloured condoms. She's to have an exhibition at the Museum of World Culture in Gothenburg, Sweden in December.
A spokesperson for the artist told Clarin newspaper: "Adriana Bertini offers a different and poetic look for a material that suffers prejudice despite being so needed in our times.
"She transforms condoms in something sensual, energetic and alive."
Well that's one way to do that.
Cyber Wolf Monday Oct 25 01:00 PMThat falls under the catagory "Clothes To Be Looked At, But Never EVER Worn".
Kitsune Monday Oct 25 02:00 PM"Clothes To Be Looked At, But Never EVER Worn"

capnhowdy Monday Oct 25 09:10 PMSculpture I can handle. Clothing? I don't think so.
Hope this doesn't redefine "another notch on my lipstick case"
Cost: Ley me see now.......... at 75 cents P.S.I....... Can I put it on lawaway?

xoxoxoBruce Monday Oct 25 10:01 PMGreat for a streetwalker that doesn't want to cary a handbag.
Also keeps her from being patted down by the cops if she puts them back on the dress.
Kitsune Monday Oct 25 11:14 PMAt least the dress comes with instructions for putting it on.
Open the dress package carefully to avoid damaging it with fingernails, teeth, or other sharp objects. Unroll the dress a short distance to make sure it is being unrolled in the right direction, then hold the top of the dress and unroll it down. If it does not unroll easily, it may be upside-down. After use, check the dress for visible damage such as holes, then discard. Do not flush the dress down the toilet.
Trilby Monday Oct 25 11:40 PMI think it looks kinda cool.

Very thin latex is a material that is "so needed"?
Of course, this begs the question of: Does the wearer experience more pleasure if the condoms are ribbed?
mmmBoy Tuesday Oct 26 05:49 PMWhat makes the condoms different coloured?

And people normally flush dresses down toilets?
Brown Thrasher Tuesday Oct 26 10:55 PMObviously, art can be defined in many ways. I agree condoms are needed. However, I find this form of "art"?; ...... provacative at best..............for whom I'm bewildered.
jojomonkeygirl Wednesday Oct 27 12:44 AMI won't wear that. It doesn't feel natural. I don't want to feel anything between us, baby. It's ok if you don't wear that dress, baby...I've been tied.
Kitsune Wednesday Oct 27 08:50 AMAnd people normally flush dresses down toilets?
Ah, I was attempting to make the instructions for the dress similar to those for condom use. For whatever reason, the instructions normally include "do not flush down toilet".
Karenv Wednesday Oct 27 09:42 PMThat has to be some of the most expensive fabric in a dress possible. How many condoms do you think she has?
